In the realm of video and computer games there are consequences for failing tasks given by the game. So our project analyzes a variety of games to come up with different categories for the penalties a player or his avatar may receive for failing that can be applied to video games in general. We will then look into the larger implications of having penalties within video games, essentially - why are there penalties?
